Snakeskin boots are snakeskin armour worn in the footwear slot available to member rangers. To wear snakeskin boots, a player must have 30 Ranged and 30 Defence. Members can also create snakeskin boots through the Crafting skill at level 45 from six snakeskins, granting 30 Crafting experience.
These boots are often worn by rangers who cannot afford Ranger boots (+8 range attack bonus) or Glaiven boots (+10 range attack bonus). Despite granting the third highest ranged attack bonus outside of Dungeoneering, they only give +3 range attack. However, they cost a fraction of the price of Ranger and Glaiven boots, making them a very cost-effective alternative. Thus they are very commonly used in dangerous Player vs Player activities to minimise losses while providing a decent range attack bonus.
