Simon Templeton is an unscrupulous archaeologist (treasure hunter) located in between the landslide and stairs up to the Agility Pyramid. The Pyramid is in the Kharidian desert, south of Nardah, and north of Sophanem. He may be related to the ancient warrior priest Derygull Templeton.
The quickest way to reach Simon Templeton is to use the Jaleustrophos teleport of the Pharaoh's sceptre (Jaleustrophos is the ancient name of the Agility Pyramid).
Always interested in valuable items, Simon will buy the gold pyramid retrieved by players who have completed the agility course in the Agility Pyramid for 1000 coins, as well as any items obtained during the Pyramid Plunder activity in Sophanem.

Trivia
- Simon Templar was also a fictional character in books written by Leslie Charteris. He was known as "The Saint" due to his heroic exploits. One of his aliases was "Sebastian Tombs"
- Another possibility is that his surname is a play on the word "Temple," due to him being found near a pyramid.
- It's also possible it's a play on the word "Simpleton".
- The line about "cutting me own throat" may be a reference to CMOT Dibbler, from the Discworld series
- In the popular show during the 90's, the A team, Templeton was adventurous and very charming when it came to stealing items or trading for an unfair price.
- Simon Templeton shares a similar name with Simon Templar, a knight from the game Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer, who is first encountered inside a pyramid-shaped temple.
- When selling noted artefacts to Simon the game asks if one wishes to sell the certed item; certificates were the precursor to today's bank notes for item.
- His name is strikingly similar to that of Symond Templeton, a character from George R.R. Martin's "A Song Of Ice And Fire" series
- In 2004, Mark Ogilvie appeared in the tenth episode in season 12 of Bargain Hunt, a television programme in which two teams are challenged to buy antiques and sell them at an auction for money. In 2009, he stated this experience may have inspired Simon Templeton.
- Due to an update on 21 August 2012, Simon will now buy noted rewards.
- It appears his hat is floating.
