Description | Scouts are fast, lightly-armoured troops, ideal for out-maneuvering enemy formations. |
"Scout" redirects here. For other uses, see Scout (disambiguation).
Scouts are one of the units in Conquest. With great speed and movement, scouts are often deployed first in Conquest battles. They are poor fighters, but can move great distances and are ideal for taking out enemy Archers and Mages. They can make good use of Charge (to get a 24x24 movement range, sometimes the whole field) and Battlecry (to take down tougher units such as Knights, or to finish off a Champion). A lot of players make the mistake of attacking a scout after it got a battle cry, which may end in failure and destruction of the attacking unit, sometimes making scouts a good defensive option as well. That doesn't mean, however, that this is the best way to employ their abilities.
Trivia
- Contrary to popular belief (and this is what tricks many new users) scouts already have a twelve-by-twelve movement square (six each way), and Charge, by doubling this, actually gives them a 24x24 square to move in, and as the field is only 22x22, if the scout is near the centre she can cover the whole field.
