Sap Spirit, one of the Ancient Curses, drains enemy special attack energy. For every sap you 'throw' at the enemy, they lose 10% of their Special attack energy. Completion of The Temple at Senntisten, as well as switching from normal prayers to the Ancient curses is required to use this curse. This curse does not work on monsters, as they have no special attack energy to drain.
If given enough time, this prayer can be extremely useful against weapons bearing powerful special attacks such as dragon claws and godswords, as this greatly lowers their full potential. This tactic can be used in maximum potential if the attacker is a Mage as he/she can freeze the foe while farcasting thus activating this prayer in near perfect timing before the foe can rush them.
This prayer is generally used by players to counter the high-powered special attacks of the godswords, dragon claws, or other PvP weapons. This prayer limits the amount of specials they can use, greatly increasing the chance that the player will survive.

- According to the ancient hymnal, Sap Spirit's verbal incantation is "Adimo potestas tua quae tibi donat animam." (I take away the might that gives you a soul.)
