The official RuneScape Wiki is a community-editable wiki run by Jagex. It was released on 22 November 2011 with the news item "RuneScape Revolution", and it replaces the former Knowledge Base.<ref name="Wiki">Mod Avatar, Mod Rak. "RuneScape Revolution". 22 November 2011. RuneScape News. *</ref>

The wiki is composed of Jagex approved pages (pages which only Jagex staff may edit) and community powered pages (pages which may contain contributions from both Jagex staff and subscribed members of RuneScape). To edit pages, players must have membership status, at least 10 hours of gameplay, 5 quest points and a total level of 100.<ref name="Main">Welcome to the RuneScape Wiki (HTML). Sections of the wiki include:

  • The Game Guide, which covers game content<ref name="Main">Error on call to Template:cite web: Parameters url and title must be specified.*</ref>
  • Customer Support<ref name="Main">Error on call to Template:cite web: Parameters url and title must be specified.*</ref>
  • Scribbles & Sketches, containing player fan art, letters from in-game characters, histories and lores<ref name="Main">Error on call to Template:cite web: Parameters url and title must be specified.*</ref>
  • The Community Hub, which contains wiki policies and information on how to edit the wiki<ref name="Main">Error on call to Template:cite web: Parameters url and title must be specified.*</ref>

As of 5 July, 2012, it has 12,889 articles.

  • The Troll that appears on the front page of the Runescape Wiki resembles the Internet meme Trollface.
