A Ruby harvest is a members-only item that players can use in multi-combat areas to temporarily raise another player's Attack by 4 + 15% of their attack level (rounded down). The right-click option "Release" would release the butterfly from the jar, but this does not affect any player's stats.

Members can make this item by catching a ruby harvest using a butterfly net, whilst they have a butterfly jar in their inventory. One needs level 15 Hunter to do so, and will gain 24 experience points for every ruby harvest they catch.

Ruby harvests are the tertiary component needed to infuse Forge regent pouches in the Summoning skill.

They may be caught near the Piscatoris Hunter Area. These can be a good source of money for low levels, and getting there is fairly easy when using the Phoenix lair teleport scroll obtained from clue scrolls or the Grand Exchange, and a Varrock Teleport is a good option to bring so that you can bring to bank quickly. If Swan Song has been completed players may also bank in the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. Also, if you have started Fairy Tale II - Cure a Queen, you can use the fairy ring nearby for quick banking at Zanaris. You must have a Dramen staff or Lunar staff in order to use the fairy ring unless you have completed Fairy Tale III - Battle at Orks Rift. The ruby harvests can be found around the area right by the fairy ring.

Catching butterflies barehanded does not yield jarred butterflies.

Players may receive ruby harvests from opening a box of summoning ingredients, a possible reward from the Familiarisation Distraction and Diversion.
