Rat traps are found near many of the rat pits. The player may attempt to pick up the traps, but doing so will also set off the trap and deal 30 damage to the player. The trap will remain on the floor. If players use cheese with a rat trap near rats, a rat may get killed. If they use poisoned cheese, a message will appear in their chat box that will say that it's an over kill and normal cheese will work fine.
Rat traps are a good way to reduce your life points for the Dharok's set effect.
