Rangers are non-player characters encountered during the Wanted! quest. They are seen only during a cutscene, and thus cannot be encountered during regular gameplay.
The Rangers are Temple Knight soldiers sent to the Rune Essence mine in an effort to capture Solus Dellagar, a dangerous mage responsible for the deaths of thousands. Under Savant's guidance, fifteen Rangers surround Solus as they attempt to bring him into custody. Solus immediately defeats the group by casting ice barrage, killing all of them but forcing him to expend such energy that the player can defeat him in combat.
Although rangers do not have an attack option and thus are not considered monsters, they are shown to have 700 life points, and drop bones upon death.
