A Notebook is given by Larry (or Chuck after Hunt for Red Raktuber) at Ardougne Zoo to record the player's Penguin points and keep track of the penguins they have spied upon. This is used for the Penguin Hide and Seek portion of Distractions and Diversions.
The notebook will "hold" up to 50 points, and the points may be exchanged immediately or saved up to 50 points at a time. Players do not need to have the notebook in the inventory in order to spy on penguins or to claim the reward. This book can not be stored in a Player Owned Bookshelf.
Players may earn up to 10 points (15 after Cold War, 16 after Hunt for Red Raktuber, and 19 after Some Like It Cold) per week.

- You have recently spotted (0 - 10) penguins.
- You have recently spotted the polar bear agent. (If you have done so)
- You have __ Penguin Points to spend with Larry.
(Note: You can also use the Quick Chat feature, under "I have found ... penguins this week" if you do not wish to carry the notebook with you.)
Losing the notebook
If players lose the notebook (by destroying it or feeding it to the Baby Troll pet) and ask Larry for a replacement, an amusing conversations happens between Larry and the player. He will gasp in horror and questions the player on what will happen if the notebook falls into enemy hands. After Hunt for Red Raktuber, Chuck will act disappointed, saying that Larry implied that the player was trustworthy.
