Cyreg Paddlehorn is the boatman and a member of the Myreque who hides away from the vampyres in Morytania. The journey he provides is from the town of Mort'ton. From there he will take the passenger to an area in the centre of Mort Myre swamp near the Hollows for the small price of ten coins. With a Ring of Charos activated you can get a ride on the swamp boaty from Mort'ton for free. The return trip from the Hollows is for free since Cyreg isn't watching over the boat. An interesting fact is that he is the only fully human NPC in Mort'ton (with the exception of when a player learns to cure afflicted members of the town during the Shades of Mort'ton quest). Another interesting point is that despite being fully human, the Loar shades and Afflicted have no interest in him. Also he doesn't have an animation while standing. At Mort'ton he is located to the south-east, near the bridge that takes the player to the Barrows activity. Another bridge in Mort'ton leads to Burgh de Rott, the hometown of the Myreque. Cyreg's boatride is used heavily during the quest In Search of the Myreque and is popular as a shortcut to the southern parts of Morytania which will deduct much journey time and attacks from ghasts, leeches and vampyres. He has a very similar skin tone to the people of Miscellania and Etceteria, possibly meaning he comes from one of these islands.
Position within the Myreque:
It is guessed that he is positioned by and operates the boat trip through the Mort Myre as a way to keep passage in Morytania open to Myreque members and any who might help in the struggle against Draken. This would explain why he is not an active fighter under Veliaf or Safalaan.
During Temple Trekking, he is one of 3 Mort'ton villagers that have to be saved from the attacking shades. If successfully saved, he will bless the player, either by restoring their life points, their prayer points, or boosting their combat stats.
