A Pengatrice egg is an ingredient for a Spirit pengatrice, a level 43 Summoning familiar.
In order to obtain a Pengatrice egg you must use the Spirit cobra's special ability on a Penguin egg (requires level 63 Summoning). The pengatrice egg is one of the easiest eggs to create if you have a spirit cobra familiar. You may talk to the Penguin Keeper at the Ardougne Zoo to get a free penguin egg from him. You then use the spirit cobra's special attack scroll, Ophidian Incubation, and it creates a Pengatrice egg.
In order for you to create this egg you cannot have a pet penguin, except in the Menagerie of a Player-owned house. Players wishing to make coins are advised to place the penguin in the menagerie or to release it and make pengatrice eggs, as it can be extremely profitable if done in quick succession (50,000 coins average per inventory).
Pengatrice eggs may also be found when catching a Spirit Impling.
