Empty light orbs are made with molten glass and level 87 crafting. Making empty light orbs gives 70 experience, the second highest experience per molten glass in glassblowing, just behind Potion Flasks which give 100 experience but require 89 crafting. Attaching a cave goblin wire makes a Dorgeshuun Lightorb or Light orb, and an additional 104 crafting experience is earned.
However, the fact that empty light orbs cannot be traded or noted until they are completed in such a manner, coupled with the purchase cost or slow rate of collection of cave goblin wire, makes them either expensive or slow to remove from the bank or inventory after they have been crafted. no:Empty light orb
