A detailed Berserker necklace.

The Berserker necklace is an onyx necklace enchanted by the spell Enchant Level 6 Jewellery. When worn, it increases the amount of damage the wearer does when wielding an obsidian melee weapon by 20%.

When used with the Toktz-xil-ak (Obsidian sword) it can be a better option for training Strength than the Dragon scimitar for players who have not done or cannot do Monkey Madness, or who do not wish to spend the money on a Saradomin sword. However, this form of training should be attempted by a player with a reasonably high attack and defence, due to the fact that the berserker necklace lowers your attack bonuses and your defence even lower.

Players who wish to buy this necklace for the strength bonus are advised to buy an Amulet of Strength instead, which has a higher strength bonus than even an Amulet of Fury. You could also use this necklace with an obsidian dagger, but you would be better off using the obsidian maul or sword.

Note: The Void melee set's 10% damage bonus does stack with a Berserker necklace.

This item is commonly used by several pures in PvP such as: Obsidian Tankers, Obsidian Rangers, Strength Pures, the pures use the Berserker necklace for maximum damage with a Tzhaar-ket-om, mostly used in conjunction with Rune knives, Granite maul and/or with a Dark bow/Magic shortbow special attack.
