Mysterious chronicle (part 3) is a book found only in Daemonheim. It may appear in front of the dungeon-ending ladder after killing the boss monster.
Written in the year 1266 of the Fourth Age. Bilrach wonders what curiosity or purpose his servants have for following him deeper into the ground. He admits that he needs them to progress, for now, so that he can save his power for a worthy challenge. He settles with the role of slavedriver until then.
It seems as if he almost expects there to be some enemy that he will come across in his dig underneath the castle. Other chronicles suggest this as well.
Transcript
Year 1266 of the 4th age:
Many of the weak minded servants and slaves are moving with me as I go deeper. What curiosity or purpose drives them? I didn't even have to force many of them. I cannot dwell; as much as I hate to admit it, I need them for now. I must have the rearguards and the servants to dig the early sections out. I won’t be wasting any of my power doing this; I'll save myself for a challenge worthy of me taking a more frontal role. For now, I'll have to settle for the role of slavedriver.
