Blue dragons, found in the Taverley dungeon, always drop dragon bones and blue dragonhide (along with many other chance drops), which sell for Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". and Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". respectively. This makes each kill worth 4,194 coins.
The usage of a beast of burden such as the terrorbird can allow more items to be carried per trip. The use of a Falador teleport tab for banking, then running back to Taverley dungeon makes a banking trip take roughly 1 minute using the Agility shortcut (requires 70 Agility), while taking the longer way around takes roughly 2:30, and requires the dusty key. Using a terrorbird, you have 40 inventory slots available, allowing up to 20 dragons to be killed each trip. This takes roughly 15 minutes (though is very variable depending on your levels and equipment). Counting banking time, you can obtain an average of 75 dragon bones and 75 blue dragonhide per hour, for a total profit of 314,550 coins per hour. Not using the pipe shortcut reduces profit to around 285,192 coins per hour. Players can generally earn more than this due to other items that the blue dragons may drop. However, as all of those are chance drops, only bones and dragonhide are taken into aspect here. Additionally, the usage of potions and stronger equipment can speed up kills, allowing more profit per hour (potions should be decanted into two dose, to ensure they are used up each trip, allowing their inventory spots to be used for drops). As well, using a war tortoise, can increase base profits to 327,132 per hour. It should be noted that if blue dragons are crowded, it may be difficult to get kills. 60 Dungeoneering for the Taverley dungeon resource dungeon can allow access to more blue dragons. As well, Kuradel's dungeon boasts blue dragons which are rarely crowded, though requires that they are assigned to you as a slayer assignment by Kuradel. Blue dragons in Kuradel's dungeon can also be accessed easier through the ferocious ring's teleport. |
