Melee dummies can be found in the building north of the Lumbridge general store, where the Combat Tutors are inside. A player can only use melee attacks on them, and they will only receive 0.1 experience on a melee skill for every 10 damage they deal. This is one of the few methods that free players can gain melee experience without gaining constitution experience. However, it needs not to be said, you shouldn't count on these as a training method.
Attack dummies has seemingly 150 life points, though players can never hit over 149. These dummies restore their life points to full after each attack.
Trivia
It is noted that it was possible to kill a dummy by using a dragon dagger(p++) special attack, or a dragon claws special attack, but as of 2 June, 2009, melee dummies are no longer killable.
