A Chisel is a tool mainly used in the Crafting skill to cut and shape hard non-metals, mainly gems and limestone. Chisels are also used in Fletching to cut gems into bolt tips. Chisels are sold for the price of 14 coins at all general stores except the ones in East and West Ardougne. There is a free chisel spawn in the Crafting Guild. At 15 Construction, members can make a Tool Store 1 for the workshop room of their house; this tool store provides an unlimited supply of chisels. Chisels can be stored in the Toolbelt.

It is required in the Magical construct puzzle and can be obtained from either the statue weapon puzzle or found on the floor in front of the stones box.
Trivia
- When searching in the Grand Exchange, a second "chisel" used to be listed. This chisel's examine was "A left-handed chisel." This chisel could not be obtained, and its purpose is unknown. It was, however, mentioned briefly in the Fremennik Trials quest. It is no longer listed in the Grand Exchange. This may have been another Grand Exchange prank, similar to Thingy.
