Kathy Corkat, together with David Mendleberg have a rowing boat west of the Tree Gnome Stronghold, just across the river, where they sail players up to the Piscatoris Fishing Colony for 50 coins or for free with a Ring of Charos (a). This is very useful during the quest Swan Song. It was confirmed that Mod Ash named this character after a friend of his[source needed].
Note that Kathy cannot be reached from inside the Tree Gnome Stronghold. You must leave the Stronghold through the southern exit and run around the outside of the western fence. fi:Kathy Corkat
