Jail guards can be found patrolling around the Draynor Village Jail, guarding Khnum after Stolen Hearts. They have a combat level of 26, however their accurate attacks may prove dangerous to low level players, especially in numbers. They wielded a Steel mace, Leather body and Leather gloves, and drop only bones when killed.
Strategy
Jail guards are especially weak to slashing melee attacks as well as Magic. Due to their high life points and low defence free to play players may find these an efficient training area. At the same time, their attacks are quite accurate so food may be necessary, especially if more than one attacks a player. Players with a combat level between 3 and 20 attempting to complete the Prince Ali Rescue quest can quickly be killed by their accurate attacks. There are five guards within the jail grounds. However, talking to Lady Keli after completing the quest will result in her ordering the guards to attack you. The two jail guards with yellow hair will say "Yes, m'lady," and attack you.
Since the Safe Zone update that made the Lumbridge, Varrock and Draynor area 'safe' for new players, the jail guards are no longer aggressive to players of any level. Previously they had been notorious for killing low-level players traveling between the towns of Lumbridge and Draynor.
Unfortunately some higher-levelled players even lured new players to the guards in hopes of taking their belongings.
An interesting note is that the guards with yellow hair will shout, "You will suffer for this!" when either of them are attacked, and the other will come to his aid. However, none of the other guards have these traits or say anything while in combat.
