History

An e-mail sent from Jagex regarding the new site and items.
  • The store was originally opened several years ago, stocking several posters, ringtones, and cellphone wallpapers. The store sold only within the United Kingdom and was largely unsuccessful, receiving little attention.
  • On 9 July 2008, the store was revived, initially selling the RuneScape novel Betrayal at Falador by T.S. Church for pre-order, which was subsequently released on 21 July 2008.
  • On 22 August 2008, the store was officially re-opened, selling a range of official RuneScape merchandise.
  • On 5 September 2008, the store was expanded with a new batch of merchandise.
  • Christmas Packs were released on 5 December 2008, and the price of the RuneScape novel Betrayal at Falador was reduced.
  • On 2 October 2009, the store was "refreshed" with new merchandise dubbed the "Worst Update Ever!". Some of the items added were Jagex Moderator-designed T-shirts, posters, and packs.
  • On 8 December 2009 e-mails were sent to previous customers of the Jagex Store to visit the new page and buy items.
  • On 11 December 2009 Jagex updated the Jagex store, splitting it into separate American and European stores to save on shipping. All items previously in the Jagex store were discontinued, being replaced by an entirely new set of merchandise.
