Hild is a Fremennik teenager trying to pass her trials of adulthood. In order to make herself appear heroic, she and her several friends attempted to create a war between the island nations of Miscellania and Etceteria.
During her time in Rellekka, Hild failed the trials for years, getting lost in Swensen the Navigator's maze time and time again. Now, she is trapped in the caves beneath Miscellania and Etceteria, unable to return to the surface due to a giant sea snake infestation.
