Gideon Gleeman is the court jester in Varrock during the novels Return to Canifis and Legacy of Blood. He is sent as a representative of the court of Roald III in the embassy to Morytania as he is seen as posing no threat. During the attack on Canifis shortly after the embassy's arrival, he is captured by The Black Prince and leaves shortly after under Gar'rth's protection, but is attacked by vampyres and werewolves serving under Vanescula Drakan. After escaping Morytania, he steals a letter from Kara-Meir from Gar'rth, and upon his return, reveals Gar'rth's heritage when Sir Theodore Kassel and Kara-Meir refuse to.
