The Fractite gauntlets (Tier 5) are an item, worn in the hand slot, that can only be obtained and used while Dungeoneering. They require level 40 Defence to wear. They may be picked up from the table at the beginning of a dungeon, obtained as a monster drop, or produced using the Smithing skill.
They can be produced by using 1 Fractite bar with a hammer on an anvil, requiring level 41 Smithing and granting 46.5 smithing experience.
This is the highest tier of gauntlets available to free players while dungeoneering, and provides the highest defence bonuses as well as the highest Strength bonus.
