Ducklings are smaller versions of Ducks found at the pond by Farmer Fred's and along the River Lum as well as in the moat around White knight castle . They usually are following level 1 Ducks, who can be attacked by either magic or ranged, or sometimes by a halberd if you are close enough to them. Since they are in the water, they cannot drop anything.
