The Void knight deflector is a reward that can be unlocked in the Conquest minigame. It can only be obtained by a player with a Conquest rating of at least 1250 and is purchased with 150 Void Knight commendation points from the Void Knights, earned through Conquest or Pest Control.
The deflector can be equipped in the shield slot. It's comparable with an Adamant Kiteshield, being slightly better at all defence bonuses. For magic defence, it's significantly better because it has a +10 magic defence bonus compared to -8. It can also be used in place of another piece of void equipment to make up a set, and achieve the set bonus to accuracy and damage. For example, one can replace Void knight gloves with Goliath gloves for melee training, replace the Void knight top with an Armadyl chestplate for range training, or with Ahrim's robe top for mage training; however, you cannot use it in place of a Void Knight helm.
The deflector can also be used to make room for using sacred clay equipment, such as chaps, while maintaining the set effect from full void. This tactic is usually only used when using expensive methods of training, such as ranging with red chinchompas, or casting expensive spells.
