Commander Colby is a commander of the Black Knights and Captain Gilroy's commanding knight during the time of The Void Stares Back (and possibly before/after these events), stationed just inside the door of the Black Knights' Fortress. During The Void Stares Back, he mistakes the player (wearing bugged black armour) for a member of an exploration team, and teleports them to the Black Knights' Base. He mentions to the player to not expect this kind of treatment every time. After the quest he disappears.
