The Christmas ghost top is an item used in 2009 Christmas event. It is also a reward from the event. It is used to disguise as a ghost when players want to scare Ebenezer Scourge into releasing the kidnapped Santa Claus. During the event, players must make pieces of the ghost costume by using bedsheets, chains, thread and a needle.
It can be stored in the Toy box of a player-owned house, along with the rest of the costume and the candy cane.

Trivia
- When entering Port Phasmatys whilst wearing the robes you receive a message saying "The ghosts eye you suspiciously and realize you are masquerading as one of them."
- Interestingly enough, this is the only top in the game that is identical for males and females. Jagex have however claimed that this was to add to the "ghost-like" effect of the clothing and that if the clothing was gender-biased, it would lessen the effect.
