Brother Jered is a monk at the Edgeville Monastery. Players may speak to him to have their holy symbols blessed. He is on the first floor, meaning only those with a Prayer level of 31 may speak to him. Members who achieve level 99 Prayer may purchase the Prayer cape from him for 99,000 coins. He also blesses Spirit shields into Blessed spirit shields for one million coins, if you bring him a Spirit shield and Holy elixir.
Trivia
- He believes that the Prayer cape is the hardest to acquire because it requires great devotion to the gods. This may be a reference to the amount of bones and money needed to bury for 99 Prayer.
- When achieving 99 Prayer, the skillcape message will say you can go to Brother Jared, rather than Jered, Jagex has not fixed this typo yet.
- Brother Jered looks similar to Brother Brace from the old tutorial.
