A Low Alcohol keg is a quest item used in The Fremennik Trials quest. It can be bought from the poison salesman in Seers' village bar and then swapped for a regular keg so the player can beat Manni the Reveller in a drinking contest. Apparently it tastes like a beer, but without side effects.
Before obtaining it, the player must start the quest and go through a huge talk with the Poison Salesman about it being a breakthrough.
The beer is a reference to "near beer" in real life, which is the exact same thing.
