Refining apparatus is an item used in the Flash Powder Factory. It provides a bonus to the points gained when flash powder is made, determined by the number of refining apparatus in the inventory. It is possible to have anywhere between 0 and 6 apparatus, with 6 apparatus increasing the bonus to 15%.
Players will have three of these at the start of the game - more may be obtained by pickpocketing other players in the arena, or by searching through Fallen rubble. Refining apparatus may also be lost by being pickpocketed. The number of apparatus each player has will be displayed as a number of green bars above their head.
