The ability book replaces the Magic tab on the toolbar in game. It contains abilities for Attack, Strength, Defence, Constitution, Ranged and Magic. Each section is accessible through a colour-coded tab on the top.


Attack

Attack abilities require a melee weapon wielded in the main hand to use. Some require either dual-wielded melee weapons or a two-handed melee weapon to use. Attack abilities focus on dealing a large amount of damage in a short space of time.

Slice Basic 1 5 seconds None Slice your target for up to 125% weapon damage. In addition, has a 10% greater chance of being a critical hit.
Slaughter Threshold 1 30 seconds None Cause your target to bleed for up to 250% weapon damage over 10 seconds. If the target moves location, they suffer triple damage.
Overpower Ultimate 2 30 seconds None Overpower your target, dealing damage equal to 25% of their maximum life points.
Havoc Basic 7 10 seconds Dual melee weapons Instantly attack with both weapons for 125% of both weapon's damage.
Backhand Basic 15 15 seconds None Smack your target with the back of your hand, stunning them for 3 seconds. Targets immune to stun instead suffer 188% weapon damage.
Smash Basic 25 10 seconds Two-handed melee weapon Smash your target for up to 125% weapon damage, disabling protection prayers in PvP.
Barge Basic 34 20 seconds None Shoulder barge at your target, stunning it for 3 seconds on contact. Targets immune to stun instead suffer 188% weapon damage.
Flurry Threshold 37 20 seconds Dual melee weapons Perform a flurry of blows against your target, dealing 125% weapon damage over 6 seconds. Combo Attack.
Sever Basic 45 30 seconds None Sever your target's nerves, dealing up to 188% weapon damage and reducing any damage they deal by 10% for 10 seconds.
Hurricane Threshold 55 20 seconds Two-handed melee weapon Spin on the spot, dealing up to 188% weapon damage to all adjacent targets.
Massacre Ultimate 66 60 seconds Dual melee weapons Destroy your target, dealing up to 157% of both weapons' damage instantly and causing an additional 157% of both weapons' damage over 6 seconds.
Meteor Strike Ultimate 81 60 seconds Two-handed melee weapon Crash down on your target with the force of a meteor, dealing damage equal to 40% of their maximum life points. Only usable on targets with over 50% life points remaining.

Strength

Strength abilities require the player to be wielding a melee weapon in their main hand. Some abilities require dual-wielded melee weapons or a two-handed melee weapon in order to be used. Strength abilities focus on fast and heavy damage, with some abilities also carrying a stun effect.

Dismember Basic 14 30 seconds None Dismember your target, dealing 125% weapon damage over 6 seconds.
Fury Basic 24 20 seconds None Unleash your fury, dealing damage equal to 150% of 6 seconds of auto-attack damage to your target. Combo Attack.
Destroy Threshold 37 20 seconds Dual melee weapons Destroy your target, dealing damage equal to 219% weapon damage to your target over 6 seconds, during which time they are also stunned. Combo Attack.
Quake Threshold 37 20 seconds Two-handed melee weapon Smash your weapon into the ground beneath you, dealing 100% weapon damage to all adjacent targets.
Berserk Ultimate 42 60 seconds None Harness your adrenaline to increase all damage dealt, but also all damage received, by 100% for 10 seconds.
Cleave Basic 48 10 seconds Two-handed melee weapon Cleave through your foes, dealing 125% weapon damage to all targets in a frontal cone.
Assault Threshold 55 30 seconds None Assault your target, dealing damage equal to 219% of 6 seconds auto-attack damage to your target. Combo Attack.

Frenzy Ultimate 86 60 seconds Dual melee weapons Perform a frenzied attack lasting 10 seconds. Targets standing directly in front of you take damage equal to 20% of their maximum lifepoints every 2 seconds. Combo Attack.

Defence

Defence abilities focus on reducing the damage taken by the player, along with restoring health after damage is taken. Some of these abilities require a shield to be equipped.

Anticipation Basic 3 25 seconds None Concentrate on anticipating your foe's attacks, reducing all damage taken by 10% and making the player immune to stuns for 10 seconds.
Bash Basic 8 15 seconds Shield Bash your target with your shield, stunning them for 3 seconds. Targets immune to stun instead suffer 188% weapon damage. Shares its cooldown with Impact, Binding Shot, and Backhand. Can only be used within melee range.
Revenge Threshold 15 20 seconds Shield Enact revenge upon your foes, causing any attacks you receive to increase your damage dealt by 10%, stacking up to 100%. Lasts 10 seconds.
Provoke Basic 24 10 seconds None Taunt your target, forcing them to focus their attacks on your. Player targets have their damage reduced 50% when attacking anyone other than yourself. However, you also do 50% less damage when attacking any other player. Lasts 6 seconds. Has no effect on monsters; Incite is instead used for them.
Immortality Ultimate 29 120 seconds None Become an immortal! Any damage you receive is reduced by 25% for 30 seconds. If you should die during this period, you will miraculously return to life, however the Immortality effect will be consumed. Heals the user 1/3 of their maximum life points upon resurrection.
Freedom Basic 34 30 seconds None Break free of any stuns or snares and gain immunity to any further snares and stuns for 6 seconds, also clears damage over time effects.
Reflect Threshold 34 15 seconds Shield Raise your shield, reflecting 50% of any damage you receive back at the attacker. Lasts 10 seconds. Also reduces damage taken from attacks by 50%.
Resonance Basic 48 30 seconds Shield The next attack you receive within 6 seconds will heal you instead of harm you.
Rejuvenate Ultimate 52 60 seconds Shield Channel your adrenaline to help restore 40% of your life points and fully restore your drained stats over 10 seconds.
Debilitate Threshold 55 30 seconds None Debilitate your target for up to 100% weapon damage, also reducing any damage they deal to you by 50% for 10 seconds. This ability works over distances.
Preparation Basic 67 5 seconds Shield Prepare for the fight ahead, causing each attack you receive to reduce the remaining cooldown of Resonance by 3 seconds. Lasts 10 seconds.

Constitution

Constitution abilities have no equipment requirements.

Momentum Ultimate 10 0 seconds None Dramatically increases the damage of your auto-attacks for 20 minutes. However using any abilities will end the effect early. Autoattacks will not generate adrenaline while under the effect of Momentum.
Regenerate Basic 10 0 seconds None Focus your remaining adrenaline to heal your wounds over 6 seconds. Does not work during combat. Restores up to 25% of the user's maximum lifepoints.
Incite Basic 24 0 seconds None Dramatically increases the likelihood that your attacks will cause your target to attack you instead of your allies. Lasts until cancelled. Has no effect in PvP. Provoke may be used against players for a similar "taunting" effect.
Single-Way Wilderness Basic 25 10 seconds None Toggle between using single-way combat and multi-way combat while in the Wilderness. Changing this setting takes 10 seconds, and will be interrupted if you perform any actions or are attacked while changing. This setting is retained across death and log-out. Affects combat with monsters as well as with players. An overhead icon appears to mark players who have opted for multi-way combat. Combat familiars may be used as usual while in single-way mode.

Ranged

Ranged abilities require the player to be wielding a ranged weapon with usable bolts/arrows in the main hand.

Binding Shot Basic 15 15 seconds None Shoot your target with a shot which stuns them for 3 seconds and binds them in place for up to 20 seconds. Targets immune to stun instead suffer 188% weapon damage.
Fragmentation Shot Basic 25 30 seconds None Shoot a shot in a large arc which fragments over your target, causing them to suffer damage equal to 250% weapon damage over 6 seconds. If the target moves the effect is increased.
Escape Basic 34 20 seconds None Leap backwards up to 7 metres(squares) to help you maintain range from your target.
Rapid-fire Threshold 37 20 seconds None Rapidly fire both weapons at your target, dealing damage equal to 94% of 6 seconds auto-attack damage to your target. Channelled.
Ricochet Basic 45 10 seconds None Fire a shot which ricochets off your target, hitting 2 additional nearby targets for 100% weapon damage.
Bombardment Threshold 55 30 seconds None Fire a volley of shots into the air, which come raining down dealing 219% weapon damage to all adjacent targets.
Incendiary Shot Ultimate 66 60 seconds Two-Handed Ranged Weapon Fire an explosive shot into your target, which will detonate after 3 seconds dealing damage equal to 30% of their maximum life points.
Unload Ultimate 81 60 seconds Dual-Wielded Ranged Weapons Unload both your weapons at your target's current location for 6 seconds. Every 2 seconds, all targets standing at that location will take damage equal to 35% of maximum life points. Channelled.

Magic

Magic abilities does not require specific equipment. It should be noted most "classic" spells could also be found in this tab, but they are omitted here. Click hereto see a list of them.

Omnipower Ultimate 2 30 seconds None Bombard your target with each of the 4 elements, dealing damage equal to 200-400% of your active spell's damage.
Dragon Breath Basic 7 10 seconds None Breathe a mighty cloud of fire in a frontal cone, hitting all targets for damage up to 188% of active spell damage. Must be within meleeing distance. Does not count as dragonfire.
Impact Basic 15 15 seconds None Blast your target with a burst of magical energy, stunning them for 3 seconds. Targets immune to stun instead suffer 188% of active spell's damage. Shares its cooldown with Bash, Binding Shot, and Backhand.
Combust Basic 25 30 seconds None Applies a damage-over-time effect to the target, dealing 125% of the active spell's damage over 6 seconds.
Surge Basic 34 20 seconds None Instantly teleport up to 10 metres in a straight line ahead. Shares its cooldown with Escape and Barge.
Detonate Threshold 37 30 seconds None Summon an explosive ball of energy. The longer you maintain the effect - up to 12 seconds - the more powerful the explosion will become. Using Detonate a second time will trigger the explosion. The caster becomes immobile while Detonate is charging.
Chain Basic 45 10 seconds None A magical spell that chains between nearby targets, hitting for 94% of your active spell damage. If the initial attack hits, will hit up to 2 additional targets.
Wild Magic Threshold 55 20 seconds None Fire an unpredictable double magical attack at your target, which deals between 25% and 250% of your active spell's damage. Hits up to 2 times.
Metamorphosis Ultimate 66 60 seconds None Transform into an elemental based on your most recently cast spell. While transformed your spells are free to cast and your damage is increased by 50%. Lasts 20 seconds.
Tsunami Ultimate 81 60 seconds None Summon forth a destructive wall of water, damaging all targets in a frontal cone for damage equal to 250% of your active spell's damage. Must be within a few squares of meleeing distance.
