The Download server is the server that players connect to when loading RuneScape. Players are redirected to the Login server after downloading the latest game update if there was one. Often times after an update when many people are trying to update their game, it may go offline. The download server a player uses is assigned at random. It is not known how many exist.

The message players get when there is too many people downloading RuneScape at a given time.
