Brunolt is the husband of Fjoila. Both of them have been kidnapped from their home in East Keldagrim and imprisoned by the Chaos dwarves alongside several others during the Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf quest. After the player and Commander Veldaban rescue the imprisoned dwarves, Fjoila requests that they search for Brunolt. The player and Veldaban later witness him being transformed into a Chaos Dwarf by The Red Axe.
