The Glass
The Glass was a ship that sailed roughly 212 years ago, near the end of the Fourth Age.<ref name="lore">Jagex. "The Excellent Log of the Journeys and Tribulations of Samuel Scourduel, Part I." RuneScape Lores and Histories. *</ref> Its leader, Captain Gillan, was known for his stern but fair way of handling its crew.
This attracted Samuel Scourduel, a wealthy landowner from Varrock. Samuel was accepted aboard the ship when it docked in Port Lina, where he planned to begin his exploration of Gielinor.<ref name="lore"></ref>
Not far out to sea, the ship was beset by pirates, who killed the ship's crew and captain. Samuel narrowly escaped on a barrel, making him the only known survivor.<ref name="lore"></ref> What became of The Glass is unknown, although it was likely used by the pirates or destroyed.
