Pious Pete is a monk who was featured in the Candlelight random event. The event has been discontinued. The random event was taken out of the game along with Pious Pete years ago (according to a post on the Runescape Forums by Mod Ash). This was not mentioned in an update but was instead removed quietly, without any mention.

If people desperately want MORE randoms afierthe update, that'll be an amusing change, but it's not the most urgent issue in the world. There's been a lot of demand for a random event update; it'd be a shame to postpone it again while we feature-creep in people's ideas at the last minute.
The Maze reward isnt due to change at all. I think it'll be the only event that DOESN'T give you the gift box described in the newspost. Pious Pete got retired years ago, and hasn't been seen since. He's not due to come back. |
