Leon d'Cour is one of the Champion of Champions in the Champions' Challenge activity. His special rule is that the player can have no items in inventory; only equipped items are allowed into the arena. Out of the champions who use melee, Leon d'Cour is the most powerful, so it is recommended that players equip their best weapon and use a melee protection prayer (Protect from Melee or Deflect Melee) against him. If prayer is not used, then the player should wear their best melee armour.
Leon d'Cour's armour seems to be of the plate type, so it is speculated that he may be weak to crush-based attacks. But note that this is only a prediction.
Tips
- Use a fast, strong weapon, like a chaotic weapon or abyssal whip. Bring a shield instead of using a two-handed weapon, except for very powerful ones like a Chaotic maul.
- 43+ Prayer highly recommended, for the Protect from Melee prayer. Deflect Melee and Sap Warrior are even better (this requires 71+ prayer and The Temple at Senntisten).
- Be careful of what you wear into battle; this is a dangerous activity and items will be lost upon death.
- If using prayer, wear Prayer equipment instead of melee armour. Wielding a Falador shield 3 is useful, as it can restore full prayer points once a day. (This is not a one-click restore, however, so players will need briefly to get away from Leon d'Cour to restore prayer.) It can also be regained for free, so you won't have to worry about losing it.
- If a player chooses to use magic against Leon, they will require a salamander and the appropriate tar, a magical blastbox, or a celestial surgebox in order to carry runes into the battle. Alternatively, players could bring a polypore staff and use its built-in spell or set a spell in the greater runic staff or its lower level counterparts.
Habitat
- Champions' Challenge arena (in the Champions' Guild basement).
