Jeffery is a non-player character who may be found in his Smithing workshop running a furnace in Edgeville.
In order to use the furnace, players must to be on a members' server and must have completed at least the easy Varrock Tasks.
During the Gunnar's Ground quest, players must deliver a love poem, written by Dororan, to Jeffery. Jeffery does not reveal to whom he plans to give the poem, but conversation with Dororan during the quest shows that Jeffery had a previous romantic misadventure and that Dororan gave him poor, but well-intentioned, advice in the affair. In exchange for the poem, Jeffery will provide the player with a gold ring.
Trivia
- Prior to an update, it was necessary to wear the Varrock armour to use the Edgeville furnace. Prior to that same update, there was a door on the building containing the furnace that had to be opened each time a player entered.
- Although examine info says he's a man with the armour, he seems to have no armour at all.
- After the quest, Jeffery refuses to answer when asked who the love poem was for.
- If a F2P player asks Jeffery to use the furnace he says something along the lines of "No one can use my furnace except me."
