Twig is a troll, that guards the prison in Troll Stronghold and is featured in the Troll Stronghold quest. He holds the Cell key 1, which is needed to open the cell where Godric is held.
Players can pickpocket him for the key if they have level 30 Thieving, if not they must fight him.
He is normally sleeping, but if pickpocketing fails, he wakes up and starts fighting.
It may be a good idea to poison him and hide behind a cell door until he dies.

- Since trolls are named after the first thing they eat, Twig must have eaten a twig as a child.
