Robert the Strong is a legendary figure who supposedly forced the Dragonkin race into near extinction as seen in the flashback during the A Tail of Two Cats quest.
Robert the Strong wears what appears to be a combination of the Fremennik rockshell armour and the Third age warrior armour with different gloves, and wields a bow somewhat resembling an ogre bow. It is likely that he uses some kind of bane arrows, as Kethsians failed to harm them using any weapons.
Fourth Age
Bob the Jagex Cat is believed to be Robert the Strong's reincarnation. This is revealed during a vision. Robert the Strong also appears to be very tall. His bow is said to be 6 feet long, so going by a rough comparison, he could be anywhere from 6½ to 7½ feet tall.
A Tail of Two Cats
According to Reldo, not much is known about the hero called Robert the Strong. Most folk tales describe him as being taller than the tallest human and far stronger than the strongest man. He wields a six foot tall longbow and travels with his faithful panther Odysseus. He is said to have had a personal crusade against the Dragonkin. nl:Robert the Strong
Ritual of the Mahjarrat
Robert doesn't appear in the quest but he nonetheless left his part in assisting the Adventurer in the now fossilized remains of Kethsi. He also left a necklace and two notes, in one of them addressing the player to give all 3 items to him when he is not a cat, as well as sharing the knowledge about the Bane metal ore, its uses and workings to a degree. Lastly he added a Fairy ring code that leads into the Glacor cave close to the Bane ore mine.
Trivia
Robert the Strong was also the name of a real-life Frankish nobleman of the ninth century who became the ancestor of many French kings. He was known for his military bravery in many battles against the Vikings, eventually being killed in such a battle.
