The '''Zamorakian spear''' is obtained from the [[God Wars Dungeon]] as a drop from [[K'ril Tsutsaroth]] and his bodyguards. A player must have 70 attack to wield this spear. Like all [[spear|other spears]], it is a two-handed weapon. With a speed of 6, the Zamorakian spear is faster than most other spears, which have a speed of 5, making it as fast as [[dagger]]s, [[scimitar]]s and the [[abyssal whip]]. However, unlike spears in general, it cannot be poisoned, and has a primary attack style of stab while others have the same bonus on all melee attack styles.

The Zamorakian Spear is currently the second strongest spear in the game. It is popular among players with many uses. It is often used for fighting the [[Corporeal Beast]], [[Aquanite]]s, and metallic dragons (with the aid of a [[Super antifire]]) because of these creatures' weakness to [[Stab]] attacks and the Zamorakian spear's excellent stab attack bonus (it has the same attack speed as an Abyssal [[Abyssal whip|Whip]], +5 crush bonus better than the [[Saradomin sword]], and a defence bonus, at the cost of some strength bonus usually present in weapons of its requirements). It is also very useful on [[Waterfiends]], which are weak to crush attacks and a common target for those seeking [[Crimson charm]]s. Another use is the training waves after king's ransom, because the spear features all the different attack styles.

Overall, this weapon's total defence bonuses are the highest for any weapon; for individual defence stats, the [[Greater runic staff]] has the highest magic defence, [[dragon claws]] have the highest slash defence, and the [[maple blackjack (d)]] has the highest crush defence. Many players consider this weapon to be an upgraded [[dragon spear]] because both of these spears have the same special attack, though they have different attack speeds, and the Zamorakian spear cannot be poisoned. Additionally, the Zamorakian spear's stab bonus outweighs its other bonuses, unlike the Dragon spear's balanced stats.

The Zamorakian spear's [[special attack]], Shove, pushes a suitable target back 2 squares and stuns it for five seconds, as opposed to the dragon spear, which only shoves them one square back, effectively stunning them for 3 seconds.The special attack uses up 25% of a player's [[Special attack]] energy. The spear is commonly used in the [[Castle Wars]] activity to push players into a cleared passage, which, when it collapses, causes instant death. The special attack also has its uses in the [[Wilderness]], for keeping a pvp victim from running away, in multi-combat areas to prevent another player from eating while other players attack them, or for a quick escape in the case a battle goes bad. It can also be used to attack a player who is currently being attacked by a NPC but not retaliating.

Shove, however, cannot be used against large monsters, such as giants, because they are too big to push back. If a player tries this, the special attack does not occur and no special attack energy is used up. A message appears in the chat box, reading, "That creature is too large to knock back!" A general way to tell if the spear can use the "Shove" special attack is to determine how much space the target monster takes up. If it takes up more than one space, it cannot be shoved. For example, a player can shove an [[Ice Warrior]], which takes up one space, but not an [[Ice Giant]], which takes up four.

==Trivia==
*This spear is featured in the [[In Pyre Need]] ''[[RuneScape]]'' [[Head banner|banner]].
*This is the only [[Zamorak]] weapon that has a "ian" suffix at the end of "Zamorak" in its in-game name.
*Shortly after the release, its price spiked from a little under a million to over 2 million. Players who use this weapon favour its high stab bonus, because of the [[Corporeal Beast]]'s weakness to stabbing attacks from spears. It is the most popular spear, and the most used for serious combat.
*Shortly after the [[RuneTek|RuneTek5]] update, performing the special attack became impossible. When attempted, the game would display the message: "You cannot perform a special attack with this weapon". This has since been fixed.
*When used on one of the [[pest control]] portals, the special attack won't work, and it will say "the creature is too large to knockback". Since the portal takes up more than one space, it is technically too large to be pushed, but the portal itself isn't a creature.
*Both the Zamorakian spear and the [[Dragon spear]] have the same special attack, [[Special attacks|Shove]].
*Oddly enough, the spear is smaller on the ground than it is when wielded.
*The Zamorakian spear could shove [[Zenevivia]] off statues during the fight in [[Love Story]], making the battle considerably easier.
*When attacking in melee range, you attack by either stabbing, crushing or slashing the target. However, if you put the "stab" option on and click on a target from a distance, there is currently a graphical error that shows you attacking by shoving the pole of the spear on the target. This has not been fixed yet.
