The '''Witchwood icon''' is a piece of [[Slayer]] equipment used to protect the wearer from the screams of [[Cave horror]]s found in the [[Mos Le'Harmless Caves]] on the island of [[Mos Le'Harmless]]. Without it, cave horrors can severely reduce a player's stats. The icon is worn around the neck in the [[Worn_Equipment#Neckwear_Slot|neckwear slot]] and requires a Slayer level of 35 to equip, although players must have 58 [[Slayer]] to be able to hit Cave horrors. The icon is '''NOT''' required to fight [[Jungle horror]]s. It can be purchased from any [[Slayer Master]] for 900 [[coins]] but cannot be traded with other players. The [[Slayer Master]]s created these from [[Witchwood tree]]s, an extinct species of [[Trees|tree]] that once grew in [[Gielinor]].<br />

Although this is not recommended, a player can use [[Ranged]] or a [[halberd]] on the cave horrors without the Witchwood icon and instead wear stat-boosting neckwear. Since cave horrors are aggressive, another cave horror may attack you. With some concentration, it is possible to quickly switch to a witchwood icon when another one attacks you. However, if using melee, a Witchwood icon is a must.<br />
