'''Wind Strike''', a [[free-to-play]] [[magic]] spell, is the second weakest [[wind spell]] in the standard spellbook. This spell deals a maximum damage of 20 without boosts. The catalytic rune used for this spell is one [[mind rune]]. An [[Air staff (disambiguation)|air staff]] can be used to cut the costs of this spell. Like all combat spells, each damage point caused by this spell yields 0.2 magic [[experience]] and 0.133 [[constitution]] experience.

This is one of the few attack methods that can damage [[Salarin the Twisted]]. When used against him, the spell will either "miss" or deal 90 damage.

Wind strike is a very useful spell for new players who are just starting to train magic. The cost of the spell is very low, and players can even get the runes for 30 casts for free from [[Aubury]] in [[Aubury's Rune Shop]] located in [[Varrock]].

*Before the [[Random event]] update, wind strike could inflict 3 hitpoints (equivalent to 30 life points) of damage to the [[Strange Plant]].
*To get from level 1 Magic to level 99 Magic, a player would need to cast Wind Strike 2,369,897 times, or 82 days 6 hours 54 minutes and 51 seconds of non stop casting. At {{#expr:{{GEPrice|Air rune}} + {{GEPrice|Mind rune}}}} coins per cast, that comes to a total of {{#expr:(({{GEPrice|Air rune}} + {{GEPrice|Mind rune}}))*2369897}}.
