The '''White magic staff''' is a [[White Knight equipment|White Knight]] [[weapons|weapon]] that is [[pay-to-play|member's only]]. To wield a white magic staff the player must have completed the [[Wanted!]] [[quest]] and have at least 10 [[Magic]]. To obtain a white magic staff, a player must either buy one from [[Sir Vyvin]] (with the Noble ranking - see [[White Knights]]) or trade with another player. It is one of the few Magic weapons that provide a prayer bonus, [[Void knight mace]], [[Crozier]]s, and [[Ivandis flail]] being others. As with all [[White weapons]], players cannot make this using the [[Smithing]] [[skill]].

This staff is rarely used by players. This is because its stats are not significantly higher than [[elemental staves]] and offers no [[magic damage]] bonus, yet lacks the useful ability of providing an infinite stock of runes. In addition, elemental staves can be enhanced into [[battlestaves]] and [[mystic battlestaves]], which have much higher stats than the white staff. The one exception is the prayer bonus, which is not particularly useful to the average player.
