[[File:Void melee helm chathead.png|left]]A '''Void melee helm''' is a [[members|members-only]] piece of [[Void Knight equipment]] that is obtained as a reward in the [[Pest Control]] and [[Conquest]] activities. It can be bought from a Void Knight for 200 [[Pest Control#Rewards|commendation points]], although a player must have at least level 42 [[Attack]], [[Strength]], [[Defence]], [[Constitution]], [[Ranged]], and [[Magic]], along with level 22 [[Prayer]] to buy and wear one. The melee helm grants the player a 10% bonus towards Attack and melee damage when worn with any three of four other Void pieces (out of a [[Void knight top|Void Knight top]], [[Void knight robe|robe]], [[Void knight gloves|gloves]], and [[Void Knight deflector|deflector]]). However, the [[Void knight mace]] or [[Void seal]] are not required for the bonus. It has the same stats as the other two helmets, and is considered to greatly benefit the training of the melee skills. Many players believe that the helmet will give the 10% bonuses without the other Void Knight gear, however, this is not correct. There was a glitch with the helmet that caused the tip of the player's head to poke out of the top. This has been fixed.

[[Void knight deflector]] with [[Barrows gloves]] give +6 Strength, along with +11 Stab, +12 Slash, +13 Crush Defence, but result in -13 Stab, -12 Slash, and -11 Crush Attack compared to [[Dragon defender]] with Void Knight gloves setup.
