Verac's brassard has lower defensive bonuses than [[Dharok's platebody|Dharok's]], [[Guthan's platebody|Guthan's]], and [[Torag's platebody|Torag's]] platebodies; its melee and Ranged defence bonuses are roughly comparable to those of a [[dragon chainbody]]. However, its penalties are significantly lower than other items of its class. It has smaller penalties for Magic and Ranged attack than other platebodies, and it has no Magic defence penalty whatsoever. Additionally, the brassard has a Prayer bonus of +5.
