After Leander became incapacitated by poison, Velko followed [[Sulla]] out of the Wilderness to [[Varrock]]. He holed up with the rest of the outlaws, as well as Sulla, [[Jerrod]] and their captive [[Pia]], in a barn near Varrock.<br /> <br /> When Sulla, Jerrod and Barbec left to puruse a blackmail attempt, Pia attempted to escape by knocking over a lamp. [[Kara-Meir]] took this opportunity to slip into the barn and kill the outlaws in the dark. Velko tried several times to hit Kara-Meir, but always missed and killed his friend and fellow outlaw Owen. He was the only outlaw to survive the massacre in the barn, being taken prisoner by Kara-Meir. On the way to Varrock, Velko pleaded to be set free, claiming that to go to Varrock would mean his death. Kara-Meir told him that Pia was braver than him and sent him on with [[Gar&#039;rth]].<br /> <br /> Velko was hung from a tree on the path between Varrock and [[Paterdomus]].<br /> [[Category:Characters in Return to Canifis]]</div>
