'''Varrock armour 1''' is the members only reward given to the players upon completion of the easy [[Varrock Tasks]] by [[Rat Burgiss]]. When worn, it provides helpful bonuses to [[mining]] and [[smithing]], as well a higher chance at receiving [[Skull sceptre]] part drops from monsters in the [[Stronghold of Security]], and the Skull Sceptre has ten charges instead of five if assembled while the armour is worn. If lost, it can be re-acquired by speaking with Rat Burgiss. Its stats are the same as a [[Bronze platebody]], although it weighs 8.5 kg less.

Message: ''The magic of the Varrock armour enables you to smelt 2 bars at the same time.'' If smelting iron ore with a [[ring of forging]], only one charge will be used, but both bars will be successfully smelted. This allows rings of forging to last longer before melting. This will not give extra bars; for example, you will still get five steel bars from smelting ten coal and five iron. However, you will still earn the same experience from smelting two bars normally. (Note: This is ONLY for smelting bars. It does not affect crafting jewellery or silver items.)

* 8% chance of [[Mining]] two ores at once when Mining ores up to and including [[coal]]. If two ores are mined at once, the player gets experience for both ores. You won't get [[Sacred clay pickaxe]]'s bonus exp for the extra ore. Message: ''The Varrock armour allows you to mine an additional ore.'' *Some players often wear this armour along with bronze hasta, tyras helm, and Fremennik or mirror shield in order to look like spartan warriors.
*There is currently a glitch that causes your player's right shoulder to sink into your players torso when you wield a crossbow, and wear this armour.
