'''Vampyre Juvinates''' are monsters only found in the [[Burgh de Rott Woods]], and are very similar to [[Vampyre juvinate]]s. Vampyre Juvinates cannot be killed by normal weapons. Instead, they can only be harmed by weak [[silver weapons]] (such as [[Silverlight]], [[silver sickle(b)]], [[silver bolts]], a [[blessed hatchet]], or a [[Wolfbane dagger]]) and [[blisterwood]] weapons. Vampyre Junivates '''can '''also be killed by a familiar, whether this is a glitch or not is unknown. When they get to half health or less, it is possible to use the special attack of the [[Rod of Ivandis]] or [[Ivandis flail]] to hold the [[Vampyre]] in place thus making a "Held Vampyre Juvinate". After this, a [[Guthix balance potion]] can be used for one of three outcomes:
*The vampyre dies instantly, earning 100 [[prayer]] experience;
*Becomes human again for a reward;
*The Vampyre gets angry. When angry, its level increases (and therefore its combat skills), but can be hurt by any weapon. As the Rod of Ivandis' and Ivandis flail's attack bonuses are weak, if this happens players may want to switch to their regular weapon.

If a Guthix balance potion is not used, then the Juvinate will say "Ha ha, time to disappear and re-juvinate!", turn into [[Mist|a cloud of mist]] and float away when it reaches approximately 0 health. No drops will be received when this happens.

Vampyre juvinates seem weaker to the Rod of Ivandis and the Ivandis flail. Compared to a Wolfbane dagger, a rod seems to have a higher average hit on Juvinates, despite the lower strength and attack bonuses. The slightly slower speed, however, tends to make Wolfbane a more favourable choice. If a player has [[Ivandis_flail#Increasing_bonuses|increased]] the attack strength of the Ivandis flail they are recommended to use it against the vampyre juvinate.

==Trivia==
*There are [[Juvinate guard]]s in the [[Sanguinesti Region]] that appear to have once been [[Vyrewatch]] but seem to have their wings removed or torn off.
*[[Deflect curses]] seem to inflict damage on them. This may be a bug.
*This is the only monster that drops [[Willow logs]].
*There is currently a glitch where attacking them and dropping them to 0 health they will not transform into mist and will instead drop items as normal.
*The female juvinates seem to be wearing a smaller version of [[Drakan's medallion]]. A similar symbol is found on the belts of the male juvinates.
