'''Troll thistle''' is a [[quest item]] used in the [[Eadgar's Ruse]] [[quest]]. It can be obtained by picking it in any of the grass areas in [[Trollheim]] near the cave where [[Eadgar]] lives. Note that every time you pick the thistle, it spawns in a different grass patch.

If you drop the thistle, a message will appear in your chatbox saying, "The Troll Thistle withers away as soon as it hits the ground."

The player can then use the thistle on a fire to dry it out, turning it into a [[dried thistle]]. This can then be crushed in a [[pestle and mortar]] to make [[ground thistle]] which, when [[ranarr potion (unf)|unfinished ranarr potion]], is used to make a [[troll potion]].
