The '''Tears of Guthix cavern''' is used in the [[Death to the Dorgeshuun]], [[Tears of Guthix]], [[While Guthix Sleeps]] and [[The Chosen Commander]] quests. It is also the location of the [[Tears of Guthix (Distraction and Diversion)|Tears of Guthix activity]]. The upper level of the cavern can be entered through the [[Lumbridge Swamp Caves]]. The lower level connects to the [[Ancient Guthix Temple]], which can be entered during While Guthix Sleeps as part of the quest and afterwards for players seeking to slay [[Tormented demon|Tormented Demons]]. During The Chosen Commander, players at one point unintentionally visit a small side-cavern that connects to the cave but cannot be re-entered afterwards.

The cavern has an immense chasm in its centre. [[Light creature]]s can be seen flying about the chasm.

Players need [[Light sources]] in the cavern. To ride the [[light creatures]], however, players must use lit [[Sapphire lantern]]s to attract the creatures, and then they have the option of going across to the magic stone ores or into the chasm.

== Quests ==
* [[Tears of Guthix]] quest takes place entirely in this cavern, as does the [[tears of Guthix (Distraction and Diversion)|activity]] of the same name.
* During [[While Guthix Sleeps]], [[Movario]], [[Darve]] and some [[Cave goblin]]s are investigating the cavern. Player will also travel to the bottom of the chasm with a Light creature to proceed to the [[Ancient Guthix Temple]].
* During [[Death to the Dorgeshuun]], players must collect 20 tears from the activity site to bring Zanik back to life. This will not count as a weekly activity visit.
* During [[The Chosen Commander]], players will pass this cavern while guiding [[Zanik]] to [[Dorgesh-Kaan]] after an earthquake in a small cave.

=== Upper level ===
1 - Opening to [[Lumbridge Swamp Caves]].

2 - The chasm. [[Light creature]]s can be seen here. A light creature can be attracted and ridden by using a lit [[Sapphire lantern]] on it.

3 - During parts of [[While Guthix Sleeps]], [[Movario]], [[Darve]], and several [[Cave goblin]]s are here, investigating the cavern.

4 - Rocks. Players can climb the rocks in either direction.

5 - [[Tears of Guthix]] quest start. Speak to [[Juna]].

6 - [[Tears of Guthix (Distraction and Diversion)|Tears of Guthix activity]]. Tell a story to Juna to start the game.

7 - Rocks. Players can only climb down the rocks.

8 - [[Magic stone mine]]. Players must ride light creatures across the chasm to get to the rocks. The only use of the magic stones is to make a stone bowl for Juna in the Tears of Guthix quest.

1 - The chasm. When riding a light creature down here for the first time in While Guthix Sleeps, other light creatures follow and stay in the area. A light creature can be attracted and ridden by using a lit sapphire lantern on it.

2 - Ledge where players land after riding light creatures to the lower level.

3 - Rock covering a smashed brazier. During While Guthix Sleeps, the player can dig out the brazier and then chisel out the [[Fire orb]] it contains.

4 - Three skeletons (not monsters). During While Guthix Sleeps, the player can search the skeletons and find items needed for the quest.

10 - Upper stone skull and stone cube. During While Guthix Sleeps, the player uses an elemental orb on the skull to obtain an elemental key. Later the player uses an elemental key on the skull to activate the stone cube and searches the cube to cause the skull's mouth cavity to open. Once open, the player can climb through the mouth cavity to enter the [[Ancient Guthix Temple]].
